About Hyuk & Hyo Lee

Pianists Hyuk and Hyo Lee represent one of the most striking young partnerships in today’s piano world — two exceptional soloists who, together, form a rare musical unity. Each possesses a strong artistic identity and international acclaim as a solo performer, yet when they share the stage, their connection creates an extraordinary energy that feels both instinctive and inevitable.

Hyuk Lee first gained international recognition as a finalist at the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (2021), where his poetic intensity and maturity drew wide attention. Four years later, both brothers gained even more international attention at the 19th International Chopin Piano Competition (2025), where their individuality, charisma, and sincerity once again captivated audiences and critics around the world.

Hyuk Lee, born in 2000 in Seoul, is the First Prize winner of the 2022 Long-Thibaud International Piano Competition in Paris. Described by Classica magazine as “a solar pianist with dazzling mastery and innate sense of dramaturgy,” he has performed with leading orchestras including the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de l’Opéra Royal de Versailles, and KBS Symphony Orchestra, appearing at major venues such as Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Warsaw Philharmonic, and Tokyo Kioi Hall. A graduate of the École Normale de Musique de Paris, he received the Prix Cortot as the year’s best pianist.

Hyo Lee, born in 2007 in Seoul, began as both a violinist and pianist before dedicating himself fully to the piano. A laureate of the Astana Piano Passion, Arthur Rubinstein in Memoriam, and Animato Piano Competition (Chopin Edition), he won Third Prize at the 2025 Long-Thibaud International Piano Competition in Paris. A graduate of the École Normale de Musique de Paris, he has already appeared at major halls such as the Warsaw Philharmonic, Kraków Philharmonic, and Salle Cortot.

Together, Hyuk and Hyo Lee embody the harmony between individuality and unity — two pianists who shine independently yet merge into one voice when performing side by side. Their duo playing reveals a deep artistic trust and shared imagination, transforming every performance into an experience of both brotherhood and brilliance.
